Boston Red Sox home jersey worn by outfielder Johnny Damon during the club's historic 2004 World Championship season. The white knit jersey is lettered "Red Sox" across the front and features the number 18 on the reverse. All letters and numerals are applied in red on navy tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Russell Athletic" label, a "2004" year tag, and a "48" size tag. Although no name appears on the jersey, Damon was the only player to wear number 18 for the Red Sox in 2004. The jersey is original as issued and displays light use, including soil stains on the front and right sleeve. Damon batted .304 with 20 home runs and 94 RBI in 2004 to help lead the Red Sox to the club's first World Championship since 1918. Damon retired after the 2012 season with 235 home runs, 1,139 RBI, and a .284 lifetime average.
