Game used stick from Boston Bruins Hall of Fame defenseman Ray Bourque is uncracked and displays light but definite wear. Sher-Wood model PMPX 9950 is for a left-handed shot, with original black tape on the blade and white cloth tape at the top of the shaft, which is signed in 6/10 gold fine point Sharpie; while it comes to the top of the stick, the tape does not form an actual butt-end, consistent with Bourque's tape style. One side of the black shaft has printed in white, "Handcrafted Exclusively for Raymond Bourque 77" while the opposite side reads "Bourque 77." In a spectacular moment in hockey history, Bourque changed his number from 7 to 77 on Phil Esposito Night in 1987 so Espo's number could be retired solo. This dates it to the second half of his career, after which his own 77 was raised to the rafters. Great counterpart to the Esposito stick available elsewhere in this auction.
