Prop bat and cap specially produced for use in the 1993 20th Century Fox release "Cobb," starring Tommy Lee Jones in the title role. Both of these items originate from an employee of the company that supplied the costumes and equipment for the film. 1) The replica H&B Ty Cobb bat (34.5 inches) features Cobb's facsimile signature stamped on the barrel and the model number "C28" stamped on knob. The initials "TLJ" (for Tommy Lee Jones) are written on the knob in black marker. The bat displays light wear and little to no use. 2) The navy wool cap features a white-felt "D" on the front and a leather interior headband. A "Cooperstown Ballcap Co." label appears on the interior. The size "7 3/8" is written in black marker on the headband. No attribution to a particular actor appears on the cap. The cap displays light use and has a small tear to the fabric on the brim. Also included is an original "Revised First Draft" script for the film, dated July 9, 1993.
