Pair of early basketball cardboard broadsides, circa 1908, each heralding the appearance of the Haskell Indians of Haskell Institute (today it is known as Haskell Indian Nations University). The first, issued for a game on February 17, 1908, announces a game between Haskell and "EGG=O=SEEY=Y.M.C.A." The green-colored broadside (10.5x13.25") displays handwritten notations in pencil on the front that provides details of the preliminary game, as well as a tack hole along the top border. VG-EX. The second promotes two games between Haskell and the "Crescents" on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 18th and 19th (no year listed, but most likely 1908). The broadside (15.5x11") displays light staining along the base. VG.
