The game had 42,620 spectators as winning Red Sox hurler Ernie Shore went the distance, defeating Brooklyn's Jeff Pfeffer. The game was at 1-1 in the third inning when Boston scored two runs, the first after an error and the second after a Chick Short single. Boston added an insurance run in the 5th inning.
