Scarce ticket stub issued for the game in which Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Rex Barney no-hit the New York Giants at the Polo Grounds on September 9, 1948. Graded GOOD 2 (MK) by PSA. This is one of only five examples of this ticket stub listed in the PSA Population Report and the first we have ever offered. The "MK" designation is due to the vintage pencil notations on the front of the ticket, which read "Rex Barney/No Hitter." The no-hitter was the only one of Barney's career and the Dodgers 2-0 victory that day marked Barney's 13th win of the year. The ticket stub (1.75x2.75") displays a small tear in the lower right corner due to the manner in which the ticket was torn at the gate.
