Trio of early University of Pennsylvania athletic items, including two programs. 1) November 5, 1892, Princeton vs. Penn football program (7.5x5"). This was a historic game for Penn, as they defeated the heavily favored Princeton squad 6-4, marking the school's first win against Princeton after 27 straight losses. Both the front and back covers are detached but present. The remainder of the program is tightly bound, with clean pages and oxidation to the binding staples. The exterior back cover displays paper residue from program having once been mounted in an album. Fair condition. 2) May 8, 1903, Penn promotional postcard (5.5x3.25") heralding the baseball game between Harvard and Penn on May 13, 1903. The postcard is addressed and postmarked "May 9 1903." Excellent condition. 3) 1906 Penn vs. Cornell Memorial Day program with Pop Warner photo. This program was issued for both the baseball game and crew match between the two schools in Ithaca, New York, over the Memorial Day weekend. The sixteen-page program features team photos of both the Penn and Cornell baseball teams, as well as the Cornell freshman and JV crew teams. Also pictured in a separate portrait photo is legendary football coach Glenn "Pop" Warner. Warner was both the Cornell baseball and football coach in 1906. The program (9.5x7"), which is partially scored through the 4th inning, displays a heavy vertical fold and partial separation along the spine; otherwise it remains in Excellent condition.
