Vintage glass plate duplicate negative capturing Babe Ruth as a member of the New York Yankees, circa 1930s. Ruth is pictured sitting alone in the dugout as he "bones" his bat (rubbing a bat with a bone was a common practice at the time; it helped prevent checking). The negative (5x4") displays a tiny loss of emulsion along the lower right border and is otherwise in Excellent condition. Accompanied by a small positive photo of the image printed on paper.
