Displayed is a 1964 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals World Champions set of two drinking glasses (2), plus a circa 1964 St. Louis Cardinals ashtray. The '64 Cardinals were managed by Johnny Keane, and the team went 93-69 in the regular season and then defeated the New York Yankees in seven games in the World Series. First baseman Bill White batted .303 that season, with 21 home runs and 102 RBIs. Dick Groat was at shortstop, batting .292. Third baseman Ken Boyer hit .295, with 24 home runs and 119 RBIs. In the outfield, Hall of Famer Lou Brock batted .348, with 33 steals and Curt Flood hit .311. As for the pitchers, Ray Sadecki was 20-11, Curt Simmons was 18-9, and Hall of Famer Bob Gibson was 19-12. The two drinking glasses are identical. Each glass has the iconic image of two Cardinal birds perched on a baseball bat. The glasses contain the facsimile signatures of each member of the Cardinals. The verbiage on the glass reads, "WORLD CHAMPION St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Club 1964." The glasses are 6 inches tall, and 3" in diameter across the top, 2.25" in diameter across the bottom. The glasses each weigh 10.75 ounces. The clear glass ashtray also depicts the iconic Cardinal logo of two Cardinal birds perched on a baseball bat. The ashtray has no wording. It is 3.5x3.5" and is 0.6" tall, and the ashtray weighs 4.75 ounces. All of the items in the lot are in EXCELLENT condition.
