The helmet was game worn by Beniquez for a span of time falling at some point between 1981-85, his years with the Angels. In the 1982 season when Beniquez game wore the helmet, he played in 112 games, batting .265 with 44 runs scored. For his Major League career, Beniquez batted .274, with 1,274 runs, 79 home runs, and 104 stolen bases. The offered game-worn batting helmet exhibits great use. There are spots on the red-painted bill where the red has worn off. The are scuffs, scratch marks, and sweat stains on the inside padding. The helmet is cracked in the top rear segment. On the back rear is Beniquez's number "12" machine -printed on a piece of plastic tape. On the back of the helmet is an "ABC" logo. The helmet has a left-side earflap for a right-handed batter. The padding on the inside of the earflap is in the helmet, but it has partially pulled away from the plastic earflap. On the underneath side of the bill is a plastic M, for medium size. The helmet's best quality is its extensive use.
