Attribution to Conlon is made evident by the paper sleeve, which bears Conlon's unmistakable handwriting in blue fountain pen: "Babe Ruth in his favorite act - posing with children. They are June and Barbara Scranton of Utica, N.Y." The notation "BTO" is written in the upper left corner of the negative (4x5"), and there are minor areas of emulsion loss along the base.
