Displayed is a very odd, and yet very cool, offering - a Joe DiMaggio signed five-dollar bill with an image of Marilyn Monroe instead of an image of Abraham Lincoln. This is real United States currency. Someone had DiMaggio sign this five-dollar bill. After the currency was signed by the Hall of Famer, a photo of Marilyn Monroe was affixed over the picture of Abraham Lincoln. The reason that the photo of Marilyn Monroe being added after the signature is because DiMaggio was well-known for not signing any items involving Marilyn, his former wife. The New York Yankees icon signed the five-dollar bill no earlier than 1988 since that is the year that the Series A five-dollar bill was printed. The 2.1x6.1" bill is crisp and never used. A five-dollar bill was mostly likely used because Joltin' Joe wore number five. DiMaggio signed the bill in blue Sharpie, and the signature is an 8/10. The bill has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA certified as AUTHENTIC AUTO.
