Presented is a Babe Ruth cut signature, as the Bambino's gorgeous, flowing script is displayed on a 1.5x3.5" piece of paper, or thin card stock, with a stunning PSA/DNA certified AUTO GRADE of GEM MINT 10. Babe Ruth always threw left-handed, and when he was growing up at St. Mary's Industrial Home for Boys in Baltimore, Maryland, baseball was the big sport and Ruth played nearly 40 games a month from March through October. He played every position, including time as a left-handed shortstop and a left-handed catcher. He used that left hand to become a great pitcher, one who had a 94-46 lifetime record with a 2.28 ERA. Ruth used both hands to bat left-handed and smash 714 homers, but one thing he did right-handed was to write. Along with many other youngsters of that turn-of-the-century 1900s era, Ruth was instructed in school to write with his right hand. He learned beautifully. Writing in ink from a fountain pen, Ruth has inscribed and signed "From Babe Ruth." Ruth did everything big, and his signature is no exception: It's big and bold, Ruthian all the way. There was only one Babe Ruth, and a Gem Mint 10 signature from the Sultan of Swat will add power to any collection.
