The black helmet (size 6 5/8 - 6 3/4") is complete with its original chin strap. Heavy use is displayed throughout, including a large crack on the right side. 2) Riding Boots. Pair of black riding boots with red upper trim. Heavy use. 3) Racing Goggles. The clear "Kroops" goggles have been signed by Cordero on the front in red marker, but the signature is badly faded and grades 1/10. Heavy use. 4) Race Pants. The white leather racing pants feature the initials "ATC" (Angel Tomas Cordero) written in black marker on the rear waistband. A few additional notations on the front waistband have been crossed out in black marker. Heavy wear. 5) Undershirt. The white "Aeroform" sleeveless undershirt features the name "Angel Cordero Jr." stitched in black along the left front tail. Heavy wear, including a small tear on the front. 6) Race Cloth. Black racing cloth (40x40") bearing a white number "7" on each side. Moderate wear. Angel Cordero is considered one of the greatest jockeys of the modern era. A winner of over 6,000 races, he won three Kentucky Derby races and is one of the winningest jockeys at the venerable Saratoga Race Course. He is also the first Puerto Rican jockey to be elected into the United States Racing Hall of Fame.
