Rare 1899 theater poster issued in promotion of the comedy-drama, On the Stroke of Twelve, written by Joseph LeBrandt and directed by Whitaker & Lawrence. The colorful image pictures an outdoor boxing scene being refereed by a nattily attired gentleman. An "1899" copyright by the printing firm of "Russell-Morgan Print" appears in the lower left corner. The printed caption along the base includes an abhorrent derogatory term, which we have purposely blurred out digitally. The poster (17.5x25.5"; visible dimensions) is in apparent Excellent condition. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 25x32.5".
