Major League Baseball’s prestigious 500 Home Run Club now has a total of 28 players gracing its membership. Its very first member was the incomparable Babe Ruth (Aug. 11, 1929) and its latest member is Miguel Cabrera (Aug. 22, 2021). In between, a host of outstanding batsmen have joined including each of the home run sluggers offered in this two-tiered lot. Interestingly, seven 500 Home Run Club members – Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Eddie Murray, Rafael Palmeiro, Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, and Cabrera – are also members of MLB’s 3,000 Hit Club.
