Pair of game used batting gloves worn by Ken Griffey, Jr. from his minor league stint with the Class A Bellingham Mariners in 1987. Blue Franklin gloves show nice wear, especially to the palms and fingers. Number 24 is written in unknown hand in black marker on the velcro wrist strap on each glove. Near the wristband in each is a "Franklin Adult L" label, and a Franklin patch is sewn on back of both. In his first professional season - at the age of just 17 - Griff batted .313 with 14 homers and 40 RBI in 54 games for Seattle's short-season affiliate; just two years later he would embark on his Hall of Fame career in the Emerald City. Outstanding early game used pieces.
