Government postcard, postmarked, Jamaica, N. Y. Sep. 12 1952, signed by Jackie Robinson. PSA has encapsulated the postcard and certified the signature as Authentic. Robinson's signature has been scripted in black fountain pen (grading 9/10) on the reverse. The signature was later covered by a strip of clear tape, a portion of which still remains over the signature (adhesive residue marks the area of the removed tape). Research indicates that the Dodgers hosted the St. Louis Cardinals at Ebbets Field on September 12, 1952, with Robinson getting one hit in five at bats in the Dodgers' 8-6 win. The postcard (5.5x3.25"), which has been slightly trimmed along the base, displays a heavy vertical fold, light creasing, and small areas of adhesive residue along the edges from having once been mounted in an album.
