1940 Whitey Moore Cincinnati Reds game worn jersey is heavyweight flannel and is cream colored with Gold Smith collar tag and "Moore '40" stitched in red script in the collar. Nice use includes a major repair at the collar, and a small hole on the right front. Left breast has a felt Reds logo patch featuring a red "C" on navy blue background with "REDS" spelled out in red-on-white. Number 35 is on back in red-on-navy felt. Pants are dated to 1937 and were game worn by infielder Charlie English. Pants are same style with red piping down each leg and tremendous use includes holes, minor stains, and a nearly 5" team repair to the right knee. Spalding size Small tag is in waistband along with a "37" tag, presumably the year, as this was the only season in which English played for the Reds. A red "38" is also stitched into the inside of the button-fly. Nice set representing the Reds' uniform of the era.
