1981 ticket stub from the December 30th game between the Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers, notable for the immortal Wayne Gretzky reaching another of his incredible milestones. Only five players in NHL history have scored 50 goals in their team's first 50 games of a season, and The Great One did it in three separate seasons. In 1981-82, Gretzky was all but unstoppable, as he fired in five goals in the 7-5 win against Philadelphia at Northlands Coliseum to reach the 50-goal mark in just 39 games (he scored four goals in the previous game). Stub measures 1.25x3.75" with bright colors and an uneven tear; stub is encapsulated by PSA as STUB VG 3, though it remains very crisp and the tear is largely responsible for any deduction; it stands as one of just two in the PSA database, and the highest graded. Gretz poured in an NHL-record 92 goals in that '81-82 season, one of many records that will be difficult to beat.
