Considered an ideal defensive end in Pittsburgh's 3-4 scheme, Aaron Smith played all 13 seasons of his NFL career with the Steelers, appearing in every game for the team at left DE from 2000 to 2006. Smith was fortunate enough to win two Super Bowls during his time in the Steel City - in 2005 and 2008 - and was a Pro Bowler in 2004. He was also named to Sports Illustrated's 2000s All-Decade Team. This black, home jersey was game worn by Smith during the 2001 and 2002 seasons and it has been hammered with use. There is an "01-44" tag in the neck and a Steelers Reebok size 44 tag on the tail. There are stains on the numbers, as well as paint transfers, scuffs, abrasions and 40 team repairs attesting to the massive use. The jersey has a Steelers patch on the left shoulder, and has been photo-matched to three games: January 20, 2002 (AFC Divisional Game), August 29, 2002, and November 10, 2002. Comes with Steelers LOA signed by Art Rooney II.
