Historic circa early 1980s Soviet Union team hockey jersey, possibly worn by Soviet Hockey Hall of Famer Vladimir Golikov. All original white top has Kisapukuoy size 50-52 tag in the collar with additional washing instructions tag, and "CCCP" sewn on the front and "25" on both sleeves and back, all in red. Jersey is all original with lots of use including stick marks, pilling, unrepaired rips, and paint transfers. The Soviet team shook the foundations of North American hockey in 1972, with their stunning close loss to a team of NHL stars in that year's Summit Series. Golikov's career spanned from 1975-85 and he was a key cog in the Red Army hockey machine, which was projected to steamroll through the 1980 Olympics until a group of college kids made hockey history in Lake Placid, with the USSR having to settle for the silver medal. Golikov scored an impressive 54 goals in 129 games with the Soviet National Team in his career.
