Superb rarity in this satin jacket from Elton John's 1979 tour of Russia; note that this is not a commercial jacket available for sale, and only a limited number were made for the production crew and band. Black zip front top has pink/white trim (trim on front and pockets look pink but that may be from color bleeding as the sleeve stripes appear whiter), and back is embroidered with "To Russia... with Elton - Lenongrad/Moscow - May 1979 - Witzend Productions/J.R.E." Right front pocket has a "Hard Act To Follow" tag sewn in; no other tagging is evident. In the thick of the Cold War, Elton took his show on the road to perform eight concerts in the former Soviet Union in May of '79. Jacket is in EX-MT condition.
