Amazing cut autograph signed in July of 1886 by Civil War Confederate General James Longstreet. Signature is in black fountain ink with the inscription "Yours Truly," and is very strong though the "truly" in the inscription is somewhat lighter. Cut is 4.5x2" and is mounted on what appears to be card or heavy paper stock to 5.5x3.5". Written in unknown hand in the bottom left corner is "July 1886." Longstreet was a corps commander and principal subordinate under General Robert E. Lee. Encapsulated by PSA as Authentic Auto.
