Collection of World Series and All-Star Game tickets spanning the years 1947-1953. These tickets originate from the personal collection of former Major League catcher Phil Masi and have been consigned by a family member. The collection consists of the following: 1) 1947 All-Star Game ticket stub. 3.75x2.25". VG. 2-4) Three 1948 Boston Braves World Series ticket stubs issued, respectively, for Games 1, 2 and 6. Each measures 1.4x2.25". The Game 1 and 2 stubs grade EX, the Game 6 stub grades VG-EX. 5-6) Two full tickets issued for the 1948 All-Star Game. Each measures 7x2.25". Each ticket displays light creasing and a paperclip impression in the upper right corner. One also displays a small tear along the right border. VG and GD, respectively. 7-8) Two ticket stubs issued for the 1953 "Dixie Series." This was a postseason minor-league series matching the champions of the Southern Association and Texas League. The ticket stubs featured here were issued for Game 1 and Game 3. Each measures 4.25x2.75". Both ticket stubs feature cancellation punches, and the rain check portion of the Game 1 stub has been detached; otherwise EX overall. 9-11) Three 1959 Chicago White Sox World Series ticket stubs issued, respectively, for Games 1, 2, and 6. Each measures 4x2.25". The Game 1 ticket grades VG (creasing), while the other two grade EX.
