Petite Boston Braves jacket dating from the mid-1940s. This jacket originates from the personal collection of former Boston Braves catcher Phil Masi, however, it was never worn by him. Instead, the jacket was issued to his wife, who often wore it to games in the early spring and fall. The tri-color (red/black/gray) zipper-front jacket features the team name "Braves" across the front in red on black felt. A large Braves "Indian Chief" patch appears on the reverse. The jacket, which has no manufacturer or size tags, displays heavy wear (indicative of many years of use), including tears along the sleeve cuffs and a repair to a horizontal tear on the front. The zipper remains fully functional.
