Amazing ticket stub from the 1916 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and Brooklyn Robins is even more valuable than meets the eye. This ticket was actually valid for multiple contests including Game 2, which saw Babe Ruth take the start for the hosts and throw an amazing 14-inning complete game, allowing just one run on 6 hits as Boston claimed a 2-1 victory. This was the start of Babe's Series scoreless streak of 29.1 innings, a record which stood for 43 years before being surpassed by Whitey Ford. As they had done the previous season, the Sox moved their World Series games to the larger Braves Field; though it is stamped as being for Game 3, this Grand Stand stub actually provided a special admission to Games 1, 2, and 5, in Boston, with the Red Sox taking the best-of-7 series by a 4-1 count. Stub has an erratic tear but print presents well on the blue background. Some rounding is evident to the corners, stub is encapsulated by PSA with a grade of STUB PR 1.
