One-page typed letter, dated July 30, 1952, signed by Jackie Robinson. PSA has encapsulated the letter and graded the signature MINT 9. In his letter, written on his personal letterhead, Robinson replies to a Mr. S. R. Saxton and expresses his regrets that he was unable to visit Mr. Saxton's sick son. He concludes by writing "I will be happy to write to your boy if you will send me his address." Signed "Jackie Robinson" in blue ink. The letter (7.25x10.5") displays two horizontal folds, along the ends of which are small tears, as well as a few small, light stains. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope (7.5x4"), postmarked "Aug 20 1952" (VG).
