Displayed is a program (sitting list) for the Welcome Home Dinner to the New York Yankees by the people of the Bronx, held at the Hotel Concourse Plaza on Tuesday evening, April 12, 1955. The seating list includes 38 signatures, plus more than 10 black and white photos of players signing autographs. Yankees signing the sitting list: Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Casey Stengel (HOF manager), Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Enos Slaughter, Phil Rizzuto. Plus, Bill Skowron, Hank Bauer, Jim Konstanty, Frank Leja, Charlie Silvera, John Kucks, Bob Grim, Ed Lopat, Irv Noren, Tom Sturdivant, Andy Carey, Elston Howard (the Yankees first African American player), Bill Hunter, Jerry Coleman, Don Larsen, and Mel Allen, announcer. Most of the signatures are in blue ink from a ballpoint pen. An exception is that Phil Rizzuto signed in red ink from a ballpoint pen. The sitting list measures 6.25x9" and consists of eight pages, including the front and back covers. The sitting chart program shows some toning. There is a small, partial tear at the top, and two tiny staple holes in the top left corner that extend through two pages from where the list was most likely stapled to a wall or bulletin board. The offered sitting list comes with 17 3.5x3.5" black and white photos of some Yankee players, mostly signing autographs. Among the players in the aforementioned photos: Jerry Coleman, Yogi Berra (in a topcoat and in candid mien), and Don Larsen. Some of the photos seem overexposed or shot at a distance far from their subject matter. The autographed sitting list comes with a PSA LOA.
