The New York Yankees franchise was founded in 1903 and during its storied history, the club has had sixteen official captains. This collection features baseballs signed individually by the last four players so honored with that title: Ron Guidry (1986-1988), Don Mattingly (1991-1995), Derek Jeter (2003-2014), and Aaron Judge (2023-present). 1) Ron Guidry. Inscribed "Ron Guidry 82-86" in black ink (grading 9/10) on the sweet spot of Rawlings "The Gold Glove Award" baseball (NR-MT). 2) Don Mattingly. Signed in blue ink (8/10" on the sweet spot of an OAL (Budig) ball (lightly toned; otherwise NR-MT). COA from JSA (with corresponding hologram label on the ball). 3) Derek Jeter. Signed in blue ink (9/10) on the sweet spot of an official MLB (Budig) ball (small age spot; otherwise NR-MT). COA from Steiner Sports (MLB and Steiner hologram labels on the ball). 4) Aaron Judge. Signed in bold paint pen (9/10) on the sweet spot of a Rawlings black official MLB (Manfred) ball (NR-MT). Hologram labels on the ball from both MLB and Fanatics.
