Presented is a 1984 Donruss Ted Williams puzzle, attached to a card backing, the only one we have seen signed by the Splendid Splinter. Imprinted on the top of the puzzle is "Donruss Hall of Fame Diamond King." Williams is depicted in his home Red Sox uniform, his eyes starring intently at the unseen pitcher. Under Williams' likeness is printed: "Ted Williams/Won 6 American League Batting Crowns/Last Player to Bat Over .400 - .406 in 1941/Lifetime Average .344/Hit 521 HRs." One of the most intriguing parts of the puzzle is that at its bottom, Williams' picture-perfect swing is shown, in five separate parts. At the bottom of the puzzle is "1984 The Donruss Company Perez Steele Galleries." Williams signed the puzzle in neatly written bold script, in blue marker.
