Presented is a Paul McCartney single-signed Rawlings Official Major League Baseball (Selig). McCartney achieved his primary fame as a bass guitarist, composer, and singer with the Beatles. He was the group's primary composer, along with John Lennon, and he usually shared lead vocals with Lennon. Some of McCartney's original songs are among the most covered songs in history: "And I Love Her," "Yesterday," "Eleanor Rigby," and "Blackbird." Although he mainly played bass guitar with the Beatles, McCartney also played keyboards, rhythm and lead guitar, and drums on some Beatles' recordings. McCartney has received innumerable awards, including 22 NME Awards, 16 Grammys, and an Academy Award. He has played with several groups after the Beatles, including Wings. He continues to create and record music. As for sports, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee follows British football (soccer), and his two favorite teams are the Everton F.C. and Liverpool F.C., both from his boyhood home of Liverpool, in England. As for baseball, McCartney, according to a 2009 article from an interview at Fenway Park published in the Boston Herald, is a casual fan. "Lorne Michaels (producer of Saturday Night Live) took me to my first game years ago. So, I became a Yankees fan," said McCartney in the Boston Herald interview. Then McCartney, realizing he was in Fenway Park, playfully decided to switch his allegiance. "Oh, wait, OK," McCartney said. "I'm a Red Sox fan. That didn't sound too creepy, did it?" said the musical legend. Then he laughed. McCartney signed the baseball, using a blue ballpoint pen, on a side panel. The signature is neatly written. There is a stain, about the size of a small thumb print that slightly intersects with the signature. The McCarthy autograph rates an 8/10. Except for the small stain, the ball is in overall excellent condition. The baseball comes with a PSA/DNA LOA.
