Die-cut circular dressing room pass dates to the May 25, 1965, stunner in which Muhammad Ali/Cassius Clay claimed a 1st-round knockout in the rematch with Sonny Liston at St. Dominic's Arena in Lewiston Maine. Pass is brown with black printing and original string for hanging threaded through the punch hole. While neither fighter is named on the 4" diameter pass, the above mentioned date and location is, along with "A Fifteen Round Heavyweight Boxing Match for the Championship of the World." Number 0740 is stamped on bottom, back is blank. This bout, of course, would fall well short of those 15-rounds as Ali downed Liston in the first round on what was widely deemed to be a "phantom punch," though Ali's greatness was more than proven throughout his illustrious career. PSA encapsulated as FULL GOOD 2.
