A truly iconic American cultural artifact, behold the brown felt "whoopee" cap that young Robert Blake wore as the character "Mickey" in the classic "Our Gang" or "Little Rascals" nearly a century ago. The beanie cap with round dome and peaked-triangle upturned brim retains a faint MGM in the interior crown. Blake - who went on to star in 200 films and other TV shows such as Baretta - died last year at age 89 but got his start as a child actor, tying him to this lot. The cap, which is encased in a framed display along with a series photo and COA, shows age and wear with some holes and abrasions. It was originally sold at the 1970 MGM studio auction. Measures 19.5x23.5" in its display case.
