Hall of Fame shortstop Arky Vaughn goes airborne to snag a fly ball in this beautifully captured Type I photo from 1935. The black and white photo measures 7x9". Nicknamed "Arky" early on in his career due to his home state of Arkansas, Vaughn played 14 seasons in the majors, primarily with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and compiled a .318 lifetime batting average. Vaughn - who drowned in a fishing accident at the age of 40 - is considered by many to be the second greatest shortstop of all-time behind Honus Wagner.
