J. DeBeer & Son "Official Little League" baseball signed by former New York Yankees captain and 1976 American League MVP Thurman Munson. Munson's signature has been scripted in black ink across the sweet spot and grades 5/10 overall. This ball has a unique provenance. Our consignor's brother-in-law was close friends with Munson and the two often went hunting together during the off season. It was through his brother-in-law that our consignor met Munson, who was kind enough to sign this ball for him. The ball has remained in our consignor's possession since that time. It should be noted that Munson was not the most accommodating signer during his career. That fact, along with his untimely death in 1979, has resulted in the scarcity of Munson single-signed baseballs today. The ball, which displays light wear, has a small piece of clear tape affixed to the side panel directly below Munson's signature. Full LOA from PSA.
