Displayed is a 1989-90 Boston Celtics team-signed basketball featuring three Hall of Famers: Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish. The signed basketball is an "Official Spalding" ball, with alternating green and white sections and the Boston Celtics' logo. The 1989-90 Celtics finished in second place in the NBA's Atlantic Division, with a record of 52-30. The Celtics lost in the First Round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs (2-3) to the New York Knicks. The three future Celtics' Hall of Famers were three of the four top scorers that year for Boston. Small forward Larry Bird averaged 24.3 PPG that season, with power forward Kevin McHale at 20.9 PPG and center Robert Parish at 15.7 PPG. Jimmy Rodgers was Boston's head coach.
