On February 25, 1964, in Miami Beach, Florida, World Heavyweight Champion Sonny Liston defended his title against undefeated upstart challenger Cassius Clay. Clay was a decided underdog going into the fight, but his youth and speed prevailed leading to Liston retiring on his stool in the fight which "shook the world."
