Presented is THE actual RBI ball from Albert Pujols' RBI #1,839, tying Pujuls with Ted Williams on the All-Time RBI list. The Williams-tying Pujols RBI occurred on April 29, 2017, before 44,597 at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. Pujols' Los Angeles Angels lost 6-3 to the home team Texas Rangers. Pujols batted 4th in the Angels' line-up, at DH. Pujols tied Williams in the top of the 4th inning. The Angels' Kyle Calhoun singled to left field off Rangers' right-hander Yu Darvish to start the inning. Then Mike Trout doubled to left, scoring Calhoun, and on a throwing error, Trout moved to third base. With Pujols facing Darvish, Albert hit a 1-2 pitch to left to score Trout on a sacrifice fly, and advance himself to a tie with Williams for 14th place on the lifetime MLB RBI list. On Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017, in an Angels' game against the home team Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field in Seattle, the Angels were tied at 4 runs with the Marimers as the Angels batted in the top of the 11th inning. Mike Trout doubled and Pujols moved ahead of Williams with a double to score Trout. The Angels added an insurance run and held on for the win, 6-4 after 11 innings. Pujols played 22 Major League seasons, including 12 seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, 9 seasons with the Los Angeles Angels, and a part of a season split between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Angels. He finished with 703 home runs and a career .296 batting average. At this writing, Hank Aaron is the all-time MLB RBI leader with 2,297, and Pujols retired after the 2022 season with 2,218 RBIs, second in the Major Leagues to Aaron. Babe Ruth is in third place on the RBI list with 2,214, and Ted Williams is currently in 16th place. The offered baseball is a Rawlings Official Major League Baseball (Manfred). The ball shows evident use. It has been MLB Authenticated and has Major League Hologram JB 887272. The offered baseball is in excellent condition, and it makes a great collectible - as Pujols had one of the all time best finishes to a career: late in his final campaign, he both reached 700 home runs and passed Babe Ruth to reach second on the all time RBI list. That's a surefire Hall of Famer going out on top.
