1911 & 1932 gold coins with Indian heads were created by great American sculptor, Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. Modeled after the Greek goddess, Nike (Victory), the Indian warbonnet was added at the suggestion of President Teddy Roosevelt. The majestic eagle on reverse is adapted from the Greco-Roman coin styles. Edges are lined with stamped stars. 1893 & 1907 Liberty gold coins feature female figure on obverse, surrounded by only 13 stars and year. Reverse is the Great Seal of the United States, a symbol carefully designed by our nation’s founding fathers in the form of an eagle and shield. Four uncirculated examples.
