Original Type I photograph capturing Albert Einstein and his wife, Elsa, posing together with Nobel Prize winning physicist Robert Millikan in 1933. The trio are pictured together on the S. S. Oakland, as Millikan greets them upon their arrival to California. Millikan was the head of the California Institute of Technology, which Einstein visited in 1931, 1932, and 1933. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with handwritten editorial notations and the date stamp "Feb 8 1933."
