Original large-format film negative capturing New York Yankees manager Miller Huggins and St. Louis Cardinals player/manager posing for the obligatory pregame handshake prior to a 1926 World Series game (presumably Game 1) at Yankee Stadium. The unusual shot also includes a partial view of another cameraman taking the same shot. The names of both Huggins and Hornsby are written along the base of the negative, along with a production number. The negative (8x10") remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.(Please note: the positive image seen on our website is for illustrative purposes only and does not accompany the negative; only the negative is offered in this lot.)
