Collection of fifteen Brooklyn Dodgers regular-season and exhibition-game ticket stubs dating from the club's historic 1955 World Championship season. Unless otherwise noted, all measure 1.25x2.5 inches. Most of the ticket stubs display tape residue from having been mounted in an album, while a few also display staple holes or tiny amounts of paper loss on the reverse. Fair to Good condition overall. The collection consists of the following:
1-2) April 9. Two tickets. Exhibition game vs. New York Yankees. 3) April 24. Dodgers lost 11-10 to the Giants. Willie Mays had two home runs. 4-6) Three tickets. Dodgers defeated the Phillies 8-3 (Campanella home run). 7) June 5. Doubleheader vs. Cardinals. Dodgers lost first game 9-4 (Campanella home run) and won the second 10-6 (Hodges and Musial home runs). 8) June 28. Dodgers defeated the Giants 6-5 (Robinson home run). 9) July 17. Ticket measures 1.25x3". Doubleheader vs. Reds. Dodgers won the first game 6-2 (Snider, Furillo, Reese, and Hodges home runs) and the second game 8-5 (Roger Craig Major League debut). 10-11) Two tickets. August 14. Doubleheader vs. Phillies. Dodgers lost the first game 3-2 and won the second game 5-4 (Campanella and Furillo home runs). 12) August 31. Dodgers lost to the Braves 13-8 (Sandy Koufax pitched one inning; Mathews home run). 13) September 1. Dodgers defeated the Braves 6-3. 14) September 4. Dodgers defeated the Pirates 6-5. 15) September 18. Dodgers defeated the Giants 12-10 (Mays home run).
