Johnny Bench H&B pro-model ("S44") bat dating from the 1979 season. Graded a perfect GU 10 by PSA. The bat, which measures 35 inches and weighs 31.5 ounces, is not cracked and displays outstanding use throughout, including ball marks and checking (light grain separation from repeated ball contact) on the barrel, and pine tar on the handle. Bench's uniform number ("5") is written in black marker on both the knob and top of the barrel. Bench enjoyed another outstanding season in 1979, finishing the year with 22 home runs, 80 RBI, and a .276 batting average.
