Offered is one of the rarest of World Series rare ducats: A full ticket to the 1967 World Series Game 7 between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox. The ticket measures approx. 2.5x7", and it is for the Oct. 12, 1967, game at Boston's Fenway Park. The ticket is for a $8.00 grandstand seat. Game 7 featured an epic showdown between the contest's starting pitchers, Bob Gibson for the Cardinals and Jim Lonborg for the Red Sox. Each pitcher was already 2-0 in the Series, with each win a complete game. In Game 7, Gibson once again pitched a complete game, giving up two earned runs and winning the finale by a 7-2 score. Gibson even hit a bases empty home run to go with his allowing three hits and notching 10 strikeouts. Overall, Gibson pitched 27.0 innings in the World Series and gave up just 14 hits and three earned runs. Gibson was awarded the World Series MVP Award. Lonborg had pitched valiantly, throwing 24.0 innings, with a 2-1 record and a 2.63 ERA. This extremely scarce ticket has been encapsulated and PSA graded NM 7 (pop 1 of 1 - only 1 higher).
