Sixteen jockey pins are from 1894 to 1898 with most issued by Little Jockey cigarettes or by High Admiral cigarettes. They were produced by Riley Klotz or Whitehead & HDAC Co. The hard to find pins are in excellent to near mint condition. Two pins each are included for: Tod Sloan, E. II. C(G)arrison, and Fred Taral. One of the Garrison items is in a sealed holder from PSA. One Taral is in a PSA protective case graded by them as NM-MT 8. Ten are also from that era and represent other leading American riders and racing colors of leading owners Corrigan and the Dwyer Brothers. There is an additional pin issued to celebrate Russell Baze’s feat in becoming the American all-time leader in victories at the now defunct Bay Meadows racetrack. The remaining five pins are: 1) Ruffian with picture & caption: “The Great Match.” 2) Foolish Pleasure with picture & caption: “The Great Match.” 3) Twenty Grand with head shot left & words: “A Winner” below. 4) War Admiral 1937 in case with original colors. 5) Seattle Slew showing: °Belmont Stakes Winner" on top & “1977 triple Crown below.”
