Los Angeles Dodgers ticket stub issued for a game against the Chicago Cubs on May 14, 1968, in which Don Drysdale tossed the first of his record six consecutive shutouts. PSA has encapsulated the ticket stub and certified it as "Authentic." This is one of just four examples of this ticket stub listed in the PSA Population report (two are certified as "Authentic" and two are graded). Drysdale was masterful on the mound that day, allowing just two hits in blanking the Cubs 1-0. Obviously, no one in attendance that day realized that Drysdale's shutout would be the start of a Major League record six consecutive shutouts, or that it was also the start of his record 58 2/3 scoreless innings streak. As a result, most fans had no reason to save the stub, resulting in its rarity today. The ticket stub (2x2.25") remains in Excellent condition.
