Rock-solid provenance in this assortment of 10 New York Times action photos featuring - and signed by - New York Yankees shortstop Phil Rizzuto. Magnificent array of 7x9" and 8x10" black and white images depict The Scooter in action on both offense and defense, and each has a version of the original NY Times typewritten captioning, including original print date, printed on the back. Rizzuto signed each in superb 10/10 blue Sharpie. Lot comes with Letters of Provenance which include a thumbnail of each and a notarized signature of Phil's wife, Cora, dated August 2006 - just one year before the Hall of Famer's passing. NOTE - Letters and thumbnails refer to the original selection including a total of 12 autographed photos, however two are not present in this lot.
