Displayed is a 2011 Champions League Final unofficial soccer team ball signed by nine players from Manchester United, that season's English Premier League Champions, as well as being the runner up in the Champions League. That season's Champions League final was held at London's Wembley Stadium. One of the panels on the ball reads, "WEMBLEY/London Final 2011." Some of the other panels read: "UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE" (2); "ADIDAS Finale," and "ADIDAS," the ball's manufacturer. Each of the signatures is on a separate panel. In the 2010-11 League Cup, Manchester United was defeated in the fifth round by 4-0 against West Ham United. Later in that campaign, Manchester United lost in the semi-finals of the FA Cup by 1-0 to Manchester City. In the Champions League Final on May 28th, Manchester United was beaten 3-1 by Barcelona. The signatures present a wonderful collecting opportunity, as the autographs include five amazing Manchester United stars: Wayne Rooney (a striker/midfielder who had a career 183 goals for Manchester United and 53 goals for the English National Team); Nani (a winger who played 112 times for the Portuguese National Team); Park Ji-sung (from South Korea and the first Asian to have won a FIFA Club World Cup - his remarkable running endurance earned him the nickname "Three-Lung Park"); Rio Ferdinand (one of England's greatest center backs. He used immense skill to defend, rather than employing the more typical English physical play of defenders); Michael Carrick (a skillful, deep-lying midfielder with marvelous ball possession technique who played 34 times for England). The signatures on the football (soccer ball) are written in black ink with a fiber-tip marker. A JSA LOA and a PSA LOA are included for the signatures. The five autographs of these superb Manchester United stars make the ball a great find for any English football collector.
