Rare and exceptional Cincinnati Reds game used hat is of a style that was only utilized during the 1935 and '36 seasons. Gray flannel body has a felt Reds "C" logo in red with blue trim, and the bill is prominently in royal blue, an unusual affectation for the team known as the Reds. As was one of the styles of the era, the bill is short and soft with no cardboard backing, inside leather band has stamped Spalding insignia, and there is nice use to the band with some cracking evident, though the outside remains in near-perfect condition. While we are unable to determine which player wore this beauty, its rarity and appearance alone make this a special keepsake relating to one of Major League Baseball's original franchises.
